Anthony is an independent filmmaker and creator of several short films. Originally from Hingham, MA, his love of cinema started young. Through film, an interest in Special FX, via the work of ILM, soon blossomed. That interest led to using his father’s camcorder to create stop & go animated films with old He-Man action figures, which then led to storyboarding & shooting his own film projects with family and friends. His first script, a science fiction epic written when he was 14, was accepted into the 2001 New York Film & Video Festival.
After high school, Anthony attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA and then the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA both with a focus in filmmaking. Since moving out west, Anthony has been writing, storyboarding, directing and editing his own films. For his first project, he took a small cast and crew into the Mojave desert for THE FIRST DAYS OF SPRING, a two day shoot inspired by Noah and the Whale’s epic love song. The short stars Austin Stowell & Shayn Baron. Further films include DUMPED, a black comedy about a germaphobe who faces his worst fears once he falls in love, starring his brother Matthew Knasas & Emma Jean Woodward, and 5:15, an autobiographical drama, which Anthony wrote, directed and starred in himself.
Anthony currently lives in Los Angeles, CA and has multiple projects in development.
